Multiple accounts are defined as more than one account run by one person for any number of reasons. The policy on alternate accounts are as follows.
Sock Puppets
What are sock puppets? Sock puppets are new accounts created to add weight to another user's arguments by adding more voices to it. Sock puppets are dealt with as follows:
- Permanent ban of the new account.
- Minor offence to the original account.
Avoiding bans
Creating another account to avoid a ban is not tolerated. Wait out your ban, protest against it on your talk page, and if it is permanent then you have demonstrated that you do not wish to be a constructive member of the community.
- Permanent ban of the new account.
- Moderate offence to the original account.
