Lapizi is a Countess of Avrolanc IIIa and an Air Commodore (Major General) in the Avrolanc Blitzkrieg.
Biography[]
Lapizi is the daughter of a Count (mid-ranking noble) of a notable Valley on the medieval moon. Like many noblewomen on the world, she was constantly prepared both for an arranged marriage and to go to war. She was betrothed as soon as possible to Laxan, the son of a nearby Earl (same rank but different title), of another Valley. However, she suffered a severe blow to her reputation when Laxan prematurely joined the Imperial Guard rather than marry her, claiming she was into occult. This was false, but Lapizi still had to spend a week undergoing Ecclesiarchal and Inquisitorial investigations. Rather than marry someone else, she decided to copy Laxan and join the Guard. However, she chose to be a warbeast pilot rather than a conventional officer, as Laxan had done.
Lapizi, as both a conventional officer and a warbeast pilot, gained a reputation for being cautious and rather unwilling to take too many risks. This created some concerns she was not trying hard enough to defeat the enemy. However, she was soon able to show that she was simply preserving her forces for the a large, massive strike. She also tends to avoid merely capturing strategic points and instead prefers to select a target she knows the enemy will fight to defend and head straight for that. She gambles that the enemy would do everything possible to prevent her destroying or capturing a capital city, holy site, or main supply dump and would put the bulk of their forces in her way, giving her the chance to destroy them in one go.
Lapizi was briefly reunited with Laxan after he led a task force aiding a primitive world fight an invasion by Orks followed by a raid by Dark Eldar. Laxan feared that Lapizi would be better and carry out some kind of revenge for humiliating her. Instead, she did not appear to even recognise Group Captain Laxan and simply supervised the graduation parade for the airmen and airwomen who completed their training while fighting the brief war.
Wargear[]
Being from the Feudal World of Avrolanc IIIa, Lapizi wears the 'Medieval' pattern of the uniform. This includes a chemise, a dress, and veils. She also wears a visor enhancing her vision and allowing her to view the world in a variety of ways. Despite appearances, this uniform allows a wide variety of movement. Lapizi appears unarmoured but, unknown to most, her carapace armour is simply coloured and textured to appear indistinguishable from her clothes. Her favourite weapon is a meltagun, backed up by a laspistol and power sword.
When flying, she wears a standard flight suit for Dragon Riders. This is a plain blue hooded robe. Nonetheless, she carries the same weapons.
