The rules of this site has been changed in 11:38, 27 January 2018 by myself and I want to clarify it for a few reasons.
In the rules, this was added
==='''Crossovers'''===
Crossovers, as described better on
[tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/CrossOver tvtropes], are not allowed.
Now this change was made because all crossovers have always been a no-no on this site. I have no idea why it was not written down on any rule or policy and I'm sorry if this ruins someone's article ideas or existing articles.
When I came here in 2014, there had been some atrocious Halo on Fallout crossovers and it was made very clear to me that crossovers are not the way of this wiki. As chat was at those times quite lively and new users used to come by and ask about their problems there, many things lightened up if you just followed the feed. Sadly the chat's messages were not saved anywhere (not according to my knowledge, that is) and much of the rules passed on as a hearsay and advices from senior community members. Many of them being inactive nowadays.
So clearly there has been a "generation" gap between the users at some point. Especially at those times when the Wikia's chat was complete mess and a disaster and lagged or just didn't work for some users. I for example did not wish to spend my time there when I usually didn't see all messages in time, or at all. The consensus about crossovers being a no-no apparently was lost there.
As the question about crossovers became a topic recently, it was a real shame and surely a bit badly handled situation because of the lack of written rules on that matter.
This is not an apology. I just wanted to explain the reason for me to "change" the rules just by myself, regarding this issue.
